My name is Pat Jenkins and I have been working for Dysgu Bro as a tutor for five years where I teach a variety of subjects including New CLAIT, CLAIT Plus, Photoshop and Sage Accounting in Aberaeron, Tregaron and Penparcau. I am also the OCN Co-ordinator for Dysgu Bro.

Having been a student with SIMTRA I can empathise with my students when they struggle with a particular subject and when they feel apprehensive sitting their exams. I have recently completed my PGCE where I again experienced those feelings of being a student and having to hand in work to be corrected by a tutor! I strongly feel that my classes should be fun as well as instructive and like to encourage my students to look at their learning as a social event which is important in such a rural area.

My name is Linda James and I teach at the Community Education Centre at Penparcau just outside Aberystwyth. I teach Getting Started with IT, New CLAIT, CLAIT Plus, ECDL and RSA Text and Word Processing (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced through both the Welsh & English medium).

I returned to learning after working in both retail and clerical positions for several years and gained my IT qualifications both through the medium of Welsh and English. I have gained my PGCE/Cert Ed qualification and I'm currently studying towards a Certificate in E-learning.

My Name is Will Evans and I have been a farmer and agricultural contractor all of my life. Fourteen years ago I decided to take on the challenge of learning how to use computers. In 1992 I started working for SIMTRA as a part time tutor. In October 1992 I was awarded the RSA Personal Best Bronze Medal, and have continued to both teach and learn IT in the subsequent years, gaining an Advanced Diploma in Information Technology in 1994.

Many of my students come to my classes as complete beginners and many are retired. I teach Word Processing, Spread Sheets, Databases, Microsoft Publisher, Internet and E-mail. My motto is no matter what age you are you can always learn.
